How Clonanny Racing Club uses your details
Clonanny Racing Club ("the club") is run by its registered club agents in partnership with trainer Kieran Cotter, Clonanny Gallops, Co. Laois. This notice explains what we keep about you, why, and what you can ask us to do.
What we keep
If you register your interest: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and how many shares you are interested in.
If you become a member: the same contact details, the number of shares you hold, your sign-in details (your password is stored only in scrambled form, so nobody can read it), when you last signed in, and anything you post or comment in the owners' area.
Identity and anti-money-laundering checks when you join are carried out separately, as set out in the Members' Agreement; their documents are not kept on this website.
Why
To answer your enquiry and send you the prospectus; to run the club under the Members' Agreement — keeping the share register, registering owners with Horse Racing Ireland, sharing updates and the club's accounts with members; and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your details or use them for anyone else's marketing.
Who sees them
The club agents and the trainer. Horse Racing Ireland receives what owner registration requires. Members see each other's names beside posts and comments in the owners' area, never email addresses, phone numbers or shareholdings. The website runs on a server in London rented from DigitalOcean, which stores the data for us and may not use it for anything else.
How long
An enquiry that doesn't lead to membership is deleted after 12 months. Members' details are kept for as long as the club runs and then for six years, as the club's accounts require.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need it, and you can object to how we use it. Contact the club agents through the form on the club's website. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie).
Cookies: the site sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in and protects the forms. There is no advertising or tracking.
